If something goes wrong in your Costa Blanca property while you are abroad, send photos and a description. Many owners of Spanish homes live in the UK, Poland or Sweden. A burst pipe, a damp patch or storm damage is then a photo on a phone, not something you can look at. Most of our repairs requests begin that way. This guide explains how a visit works and what we do and do not take on.
How a repair request is handled

Why damp is diagnosed before it is quoted
We do not price a repair we have not seen. With damp especially, the visible stain is rarely where the problem is. The visit fee covers finding the cause, and the repair is quoted afterwards. Photos can help identify the right next step, but many defects need an on-site inspection before the cause and the repair scope are clear.
What we take on
- Defined repair work: a leak, a failed installation, storm damage, snagging left by another contractor.
- Inspections of a property that has been empty for a while.
- Project support: access, communication and decisions documented with photos.
What we do not do is open-ended handyman work by the hour. Each job gets a scope and a price, so you know what you are agreeing to.
A project another builder left unfinished
Sometimes we can take it over, but not blindly. We need to see what was done, what was paid for and what condition it was left in. If the existing work is sound we continue from there; if it is not, we say so and price the correction separately rather than inheriting someone else's problem silently.
Insurance after water damage
We can document what we find and produce a costed repair scope, which is usually what an insurer asks for. The claim itself stays between you and your insurer; we provide the technical side of it, with photo evidence you can see for yourself.
Keys, access and who decides
Agree in writing who holds the keys, who else may enter and what happens at the end. We hold keys for many owners and nothing beyond making the property safe is done without your approval.
