From measuring to fitted in a day
Windows are made to measure — the schedule is production, the disruption is minimal.
Measure every opening
Every opening in an older Spanish property is slightly different. We measure each one and quote per opening, so you can do the whole house or the hot rooms first.
Specify frame and glass
Aluminium with a thermal break or PVC, and — more important — the glass coating. Solar control on west-facing rooms changes the afternoon completely.
Check the community rules
In an apartment or townhouse the façade is often communal, so frame colour may be fixed. We confirm this before ordering, because frames cannot be returned.
Fitting and making good
Three to five weeks after measuring, fitting takes one to two days for a whole house. Each opening is out for a few hours only.

The written scope states removal, disposal, internal and external finishing and any painting included.
Can windows be replaced while the property is empty?
Yes. Each opening is out for a few hours only, and we secure the property every evening. We send photos of each opening before and after fitting.
Why does the window price change after measuring?
Because every opening in an older Spanish property is slightly different, and because the reveal sometimes has to be rebuilt where the original frame was built into the masonry. We quote per opening after measuring, so you can decide room by room.

Will new windows actually reduce my electricity bill?
On this coast the bigger saving is usually in summer cooling rather than winter heating. Good glazing with a thermal break stops the afternoon sun loading the rooms, so the air conditioning runs less. The effect is most noticeable on west and south-facing rooms with large glazed areas.
Aluminium or PVC — which is better here?
Both work. Aluminium with a thermal break handles large spans and wide sliding doors better and suits the architecture most properties here have. PVC insulates well at a lower price but becomes bulky at large sizes. The right answer usually depends on the opening size rather than the material alone.
How long does replacement take?
Most properties are done in one to three days on site once the frames arrive, and each room is reinstated the same day so you are never left with an open opening overnight. The wait is in manufacture, not installation — typically several weeks after measurement.
Can you replace windows in a community building?
Usually yes, but many communities set rules on frame colour, profile and glazing to keep the facade consistent. Check with your administrator before ordering — changing an approved specification after manufacture is expensive.
