Builders in Villamartín: pools sized for the plot and for how you live
Villamartín is a district of Orihuela Costa where we have five published pools, from a 2.5×5 m plunge pool to a 9×3 m family pool. Plot width varies a lot here, and it usually decides whether the pool runs along the garden or across it. This page goes through the five and what size makes sense for a resident compared with a holiday owner.
Creator Company Alicante S.L. (N.I.F. B26705343), based in Torrevieja, has published five finished pools in Villamartín: 2.5×5 m, 3×4 m, 7×3 m with terrace, 8×4 m and 9×3 m. 2026 list prices, before IVA: €13,500 for 5×3 m, €16,500 for 7×3 m and €18,500 for 8×4 m; the terrace around a new pool usually adds €2,000–5,000. Villamartín is in Orihuela Costa, so the town hall is the Ayuntamiento de Orihuela, which charges the construction tax ICIO at 4% of the cost of the works.

Along the garden or across it
The project pages for Villamartín make one point repeatedly: plots vary in width, and that usually decides whether the pool runs along or across the garden. A 9×3 m pool is long and narrow, while an 8×4 m takes more width and gives more water. So the first job on a Villamartín visit is to measure the usable width of the garden, and the terrace is planned around whatever the pool leaves.
Resident or holiday owner: sizing the pool
| Project | Water | Fits |
|---|---|---|
| 2.5×5 m and 3×4 m | about 12 m² | Plunge pools: cooling off, sitting in the water; smaller plots; lowest running costs and water treatment |
| 7×3 m + terrace | about 21 m² | Compact family pool with usable terrace on at least two sides |
| 9×3 m | about 27 m² | Full family pool: a few strokes, floating, sunbathing area |
| 8×4 m | about 32 m² | Same, with more width; the most requested bracket for permanent residents rather than holiday use |
If the house is a second home used a few weeks a year, a plunge-size pool keeps running costs and water treatment low. If you live there, the 8×4 m bracket is the one residents ask for most. Prices of the sizes on our 2026 list are €13,500 (5×3 m), €14,500 (6×3 m), €16,500 (7×3 m), €18,500 (8×4 m), €21,000 (9×5 m) and €24,000 (10×5 m); the other sizes above — 2.5×5, 3×4 and 9×3 m — are not list sizes and are priced in the written quotation after the site visit. See the prices page and how much a pool costs on the Costa Blanca.
The terrace, built with the pool
On the 7×3 m project the terrace was built as part of the same job, so levels, drainage and paving meet the pool edge correctly instead of being added later. Budget €2,000–5,000 around a new pool; larger or more elaborate outdoor areas start at €320/m² (terrace costs explained). The service itself is on the pool construction page.
Permits in Villamartín
Because Villamartín is in the municipality of Orihuela, permits and the ICIO come from the Ayuntamiento de Orihuela: a declaración responsable for renovation without structural work, the same with a certificate for structural work, a full licence for a new house, and ICIO at 4%. If your property is in an urbanisation with a community of owners, check its rules on what can be built in private gardens or seen from the street. Details in the licence guide.
More guides for owners here: cosmetic refresh or full renovation, rewiring and plumbing in an older property, smart home costs and repairs while you live abroad.
Also: IVA 10% or 21% and the 4% ICIO, how long a renovation takes, renovating to let or sell and how to check a builder before you sign. Neighbouring districts: La Zenia, La Florida and Cabo Roig.
Questions we get asked
Who builds pools in Villamartín?
Creator Company, with its office in Torrevieja, has published five finished pools in Villamartín — 2.5×5, 3×4, 7×3 with terrace, 8×4 and 9×3 m — each with its own project page and photographs.
What size pool should I choose for a house in Villamartín?
It depends on how you use the house. For occasional use, a plunge-size pool of about 12 m² of water keeps running costs low. For permanent residents the most requested bracket is the 8×4 m (about 32 m² of water, €18,500 before IVA). The usable width of the plot decides the orientation.
How much does an 8×4 m pool cost in Villamartín?
Our fixed 2026 price is €18,500 before IVA. The terrace around it, access and excavation, equipment options such as heating or a cover are assessed on site and priced separately.
Does the terrace come with the pool?
It can be built in the same job, as on our 7×3 m project in Villamartín, so levels and drainage agree. The terrace is quoted separately from the pool; around a new pool it usually adds €2,000–5,000.
