Builders in Pilar de la Horadada: pools with room for a proper terrace

Pilar de la Horadada is the southernmost municipality of the Alicante coast, at the border with the Region of Murcia, and includes the urbanisation of Campoverde. Plots here tend to be wider than on the older coastal estates, which changes the question from "will a pool fit?" to "how big, and what goes around it?". This page shows what we have built nearby and what it costs in 2026.

Short answer

Creator Company Alicante S.L. (N.I.F. B26705343), based in Torrevieja, has published a finished 3×6 m pool with terrace in Campoverde, one of the urbanisations of the municipality of Pilar de la Horadada, and works in Pilar de la Horadada on pools, terraces and renovations. 2026 list prices, before IVA: pools from €13,500 (5×3 m) up to €24,000 (10×5 m), the terrace around a new pool usually €2,000–5,000 more, full renovation €420–900/m². Permits are handled by the Ayuntamiento de Pilar de la Horadada.

What we have built in Campoverde

The project page notes that Campoverde plots are generally larger, which leaves room for a wider terrace around the water — that is the main thing to plan here. Just across the regional border, in Torre Pacheco (Region of Murcia), we built a 6×4 m pool with terrace, where plots are also generally wide; it is a useful comparison if you are choosing a size for a generous garden.

Choosing a pool size when the plot is not the limit

On a narrow urbanisation plot the garden decides the pool. On a wide plot, the decision is about how you will use it. Water area follows from the dimensions:

SizeWater2026 priceWhat it suits
5×3 mabout 15 m²€13,500Cooling off, sitting in the water
6×3 mabout 18 m²€14,500A common family size: children and adults together
6×4 mabout 24 m²quoted after the visitWide garden, the Torre Pacheco project above
8×4 mabout 32 m²€18,500A few strokes of swimming, room to float
10×5 mabout 50 m²€24,000Large plots, permanent residents

The eight list sizes run up to 15×5 m at €32,000; all of them are on the prices page, and what sits inside a pool price is explained in how much a pool costs on the Costa Blanca. Access for the excavator, the ground, terrace works, heating and covers are assessed on site and priced separately.

Make the terrace part of the same job

A wider plot means more terrace, and the terrace is where a pool project is usually under-budgeted. Terraces and outdoor areas start at €320/m² in 2026, before IVA: porcelain paving, steps, pergola and lighting. For example 40 m² of terrace is from €12,800, and the paving that meets the pool edge is best laid in the same job so levels and drainage agree. Both pool projects above were built that way. Prices and options are in how much a terrace costs on the Costa Blanca and on the terraces and outdoor areas page.

Which town hall, which region

Because Pilar de la Horadada sits on the border, the first thing to confirm is which municipality your plot belongs to: the cadastral reference tells you. Pilar de la Horadada is in the Valencian Community, so the routes are the ones described in our guide to building licences on the Costa Blanca: a declaración responsable for most renovations, the same declaration with a certificate from an architect or engineer for structural work, and a full licence for a new house. Which route a pool or terrace needs we confirm with the town hall before work starts. A plot in the Region of Murcia belongs to a different administration and different local rules, which we check separately. The construction tax ICIO is charged by the town hall; its rate for Pilar de la Horadada we confirm with the Ayuntamiento when we quote, because we have verified 4% only for Torrevieja and Orihuela.

New house on a wider plot

Larger plots also bring new-build enquiries. Our 2026 rates per m² of built area are €1,800 at Standard finish, €2,200 at Premium and from €2,600 at Luxury, before IVA, with plot, project and licences separate; the stages are on the new construction page, and how a build runs when you live abroad is in building a villa from the UK or abroad.

More guides for owners here: cosmetic refresh or full renovation, rewiring and plumbing in an older property, smart home costs and repairs while you live abroad.

Also: IVA 10% or 21% and the 4% ICIO, how long a renovation takes, renovating to let or sell and how to check a builder before you sign. Nearby areas we cover: Torrevieja, San Miguel de Salinas and Orihuela Costa.

Questions we get asked

Do you build pools in Pilar de la Horadada and Campoverde?

Yes. Creator Company has published a finished 3×6 m pool with terrace in Campoverde, in the municipality of Pilar de la Horadada, and a 6×4 m pool with terrace in nearby Torre Pacheco, both with photographs of the finished work.

How much does a pool cost in Pilar de la Horadada?

Our fixed 2026 prices by size are €13,500 for 5×3 m, €14,500 for 6×3 m, €16,500 for 7×3 m and €18,500 for 8×4 m, before IVA, up to €32,000 for 15×5 m. The terrace around the pool usually adds €2,000–5,000; access and the ground are checked on site.

Can I build in Campoverde if my plot is near the Murcia border?

First check which municipality the plot belongs to — the cadastral reference shows it — because permits and the construction tax come from that town hall, and the Region of Murcia has its own administration. Send us the reference and we confirm before we quote.

Do you take on a new villa as well as pools?

Yes: new villas from €1,800 per m² of built area at Standard finish, before IVA, with the plot, project and licences separate. Before you buy land we check what it allows — buildable area, distances to the boundaries, height and utility connections.

Have a house or plot in Pilar de la Horadada?

Send the address or the cadastral reference and a few photos of the garden. We will tell you which pool size fits, what it costs and what has to be checked on site — before any commitment.
