Every bathroom here was taken back to the slab. That is the part nobody photographs and the part that decides whether the room is still perfect in ten years: waterproofing, falls to the drain, and pipework replaced rather than reused.
The finishes vary because the properties do. Book-matched marble-effect porcelain suits apartments where the bathroom has no window and needs to feel bright. Microcement gives a seamless wall with no grout lines but needs a sound substrate and a skilled applicator. Brushed gold and matt black tapware both hold up well on this coast; chrome shows limescale fastest in hard water. Walk-in trays have replaced baths in almost every project we do, and in a second bathroom that is usually the right call. A complete refit of a standard Spanish bathroom starts around €4,800 and reaches €14,000 for a large room with a freestanding bath and premium fittings.
